I enjoy telling stories. I grew up in a family of storytellers and I’ve used that approach in every role I’ve had through the years. Stories can be entertaining, but they also have a way of communicating truths that are very difficult to do otherwise. So, I guess I write to entertain and to hopefully spark some thinking about issues that I believe may have some importance. If you look at the Emily Graham stories, along with just being good stories, they are based on what I see are some very real risks we face today. While they are fiction, my view is “They are just fiction until they happen.” So, I write to entertain, and hopefully draw attention to some issues that I believe might be important.
Question: JB, why do you write your novels?
